10" of lift on an IFS rig is impossible to get, the most you are going to get is 7-8" which is way more than is needed. Also to be safe that much lift would require widening the track width of your truck by 12 inches, which isn't possible unless you run full size axles.

A 2" bodylift is what you need for the 3.4 or modifying the hood. A suspension lift wont work since it doesn't do anything to increse room for the 3.4.

You should start with deciding what size tire you want to run, and lift the rig as little as possible to clear that size tire withminimal rubbing. With the 2" BL for the 3.4 and a 4inch suspension lift you should be able to clear 35's. With only the 2" BL , 1.5" ball joint spacers, and 2" rear spring lift, you should be able to clear 33's. Running tires bigger than 35's is going to require an SAS(straight axle swap) or a lot of cutting.
