I will be making a torque arm setup for the coil spring rear to eliminate binding back there.

funny i'm doing a torque arm setup and removing the rear trailing arm bolt for some extra flex

They are removing one of two bolts (rear one) from the bushing on control arm holding rear axle in place. this will decrease binding then one of the sides drop. Increasing flex. I personally wouldn't do it for safety reason. If due to increased stress remaining one brakes on hwy such as hitting pothole result would be disastrous. Flex will still be limited by bushing upfront.

Keep up the good work Carlos

No, What I am doing is adding a third arm in the center.
It will attach near the pumpkin and anchor up on the trans crossmember. This will take all the torque.
The outer arms will then anchor with a single point at the axle on each side. These will be my own fabricated parts,
I do not intend to rely on the factory arms.
With this method the suspension will be symmetrical and free twisting.
I will be making these parts for both coil setups as well a conversion for leaf springs.
I apologies for the thread jack. I was not ready to introduce these since they are still in Autocad, not in steel.

Cheers, Charlie

That's cool. So it's basically custom 4 link or 5 link depending how you look at it. Are you going to use rod ends instead of rubber bushings?

carlos, are you running a front locker with those 37's, or would that be the SAS plan you have?

I already have a front locker installed, as a matter of fact I was the first one to installed an ARB front locker, 4.90s R&P, 3.15 TC, 35s on 15x10, 3" BL, 6" raised gas tank, trim rear quarter panels, etc, etc, on a genII here in the US
I just like to push the limits all the time, who knows what's next! (actually it's something pretty crazy but won't say much until it's done )

It will be a mix, the outer arms will be rod end on the front and rubber on the rear, this will allow some isolation for noise and comfort.
The torque arm will be hard mount to the axle and either sliding joint or rod link at the front. There is allot of movement at the front joint with this style.
I did not get any further when winter finally hit and I do not feel like laying under the rig.

when you raised your gas tank, did you have to extend or modify any of the fuel lines or hoses or wiring harnesses, or did you just have to have brackets fabbed up and welded? Did you have to disconnect any lines or hoses from the tank, or did you just push it up higher and re-fasten it?
