Jerry Lemond was kind enough to check some part numbers, and for my 93 Trooper, I could upgrade the IFS somewhat with relatively small effort. I just need:

95+ Upper control arm (reuse upper ball joint)
95+ Longer tie rod adjusters (ends are the same)
95+ lower ball joint (reuse lower control arm)
95-only drive axles (96+ were SOTF)

Note that this applies to 92-94 Troopers.

Not sure if it is worth doing on its own, but in conjunction with installing diff drop brackets, why not?
