Once my little brother and I were playing that. We were on a road trip in corpus christie TX, and my dad was looking for places to live. (nadep pensacola was closing down) so My brother and I were playing slug bug, and he tried to duck one of my punches in the arm, and I nailed him square in the mouth. Lol- I don't know if its still there, but there used to be a salvage yard called 'The Beetle Barn' in Cambridge, OH. We'd pass it on our way to Columbus Zoo as kids.
This place had about 100-150 beetles. My brother and I would go at it!

My oldest daughter started slugging me so hard and often, we had to change the rules. Now we just count points, like this:
New Beetle 1 point
Old Beetle 2 points
Old VW Bus 3 points
