I dont agree .. and here's why .

I believe it does affect oil pressure , and so did Toyota Canada .

back in the day /79 -- > , PH8A was the filter toyota Canada supplied to it's dealers for the 20r and then 22r&22re 's , untill we started seeing an abnormal amount of warranties . replacing chains because of tensioner failiers . as we know , the tensioner is the first thing to recieve oil in the system .

I dont remember the date , I think 84 ... toyota Canada disscontinued the larger filter , for the smaller Japan filter ... and reduced the amount of warranties .

I personally would Never use a larger filter .
