And DRTDVL... wasn't quite sure what you meant about, "put the nuts back on the studs, and pound them out", hence the confusion.


DRTDVL has a very good idea there....tap the "bolts" out and use a sander disc or something to remove the raised ridges on the bolts.....this way the bolts will slip easily in and out of the holes. NOT having the bolts in the holes helps a whole lot for re-installing the carrier...or removing it....or replacing a busted CV.

If you want....just send me the carrier with the stubs/bolts still attached and I will remove and prep the bolts for you. Did you figure out the deal with UPS shipping rates yet? Did you call up PORC and have him send me that internet special yet? That special applies to 2 sets of 8" ring/pinions.....there might be a little extra charge to get the more pricey 7.5" front ring/pinion.
