Sweet you will love the locker. I did this swap a month ago. The U-joints are not the same size you can not put the gen2 shaft plate on the gen 1. The pinnion shafts have different splines also so you can not swap pinnion plates. I tried drilling holes in the pinnion plate, it might work if you machine a pilot bushing. I did not and that did not work.

The good news, In the end I did the same as 52degrees. A local drive line shop made me a new shaft out of the two old ones. They had a hard time, they had never built one with that size yoke. They had to machine some of there own tools to do it. But they did a great job and stuck with there original price, around $100.

The track width difference is hardly noticable and that is on a swb. I bet on you lwb you wont care. and can only tell if you are looking for the difference.
