Nope. These have the infamous 12 valve 3.0/auto combo that came with the small front diff. Same size ring gear as the 2.6L front diff but in a high pinion version, so not interchangeable with anything else.

What is with your front grill and front turn signals? Are they a Japanese spec or something?

Not sure on the brakes yet, monte and 52, what did you do? Same MC?

I was going to try the one that is in it. It looks the same as the one in my 93, only difference is a screw. If I need to I will get one from a later model with discs and what ever prop valve it has.

The girll is off of an early model with v6 added I think. I traded a LS grill for it. The blinkers are from a junk yard in Japan. They used those everywhere but here I thihk. I dont have the overseas rear lights, something different with wiring.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I made no changes to the hydraulics. And it's noticable. Stops VERY evenly, and very, very well. The rear pads wear a little quicker than I expected though. I've gone through a set and a half since the swap (including the pads that were on it already). The fronts have worn from 75% to about 40% in the same time.

IMO, it's a cheap trade to make for the increase in stopping power. It's really pretty amazing, especially with the bigger tires.

Cool. I dont mind replacing pads, easy to do. Like you said, good trade off. I always liked the stopping power of the gen2s. Thanks.

I totaly agreed with you on that one! I am very surprise to see how good my genII handles 37s (braking power)

Here's a good article on proportioning valves: Samurai 4-wheel disc although reading around seems most people opt for the 50/50 split, which means just bypass the existing valve. For safety reasons, I'd do some experiments with and without the factory valve connected.

Yes, very close. It is in Starr, SC. It is my dads friends land, he has a few cars and a barn back there. I usually keep my Toyota there too.

(didn't know you'd swapped in the old style grille! Cool! And euro markers too! Way cool! )

Ha... I swapped it with him, I didn't think it looked right on my old LWB.. so the chrome looks better.
