KYB Gas Adjust shocks are your best bet for ride and comfort, also they are factory equipment. you can find them on Tirerack.com and Summitracing.com fairly cheap. Dont go with Monroe shocks

Actually KYBs are not good for 'ride and comfort' They are pretty stiff shocks, as are the Bilstiens. But for offroading and stuff like that, they are key. Monroes Gas Matics will give you the nice ride and comfort, but do not do well at all offroading, just bottom out and overall feel like garbage, but onroad they ride great.

I say get the KYB if you're offroading your truck at all.

Koni has got some very good and lasting oil shocks for the Gen 1. I'm using them and I've set them to the softest setting and it's just nice. Next time round, I will set it one notch stiffer.

I have "black diamond" brand shocks from WARN. I personally think that they are too stiff, and I feel every crack in the pavement. My truck is a virtual "kidney Buster"!!

I had a set of Monroes for about a week and took them off. I thought they were dangerous. The truck was so sloppy and bottomed out all the time with just my kids in it. They were terrible offroad. I really like the ride the KYB's give, but then my daily driver is a lowered miata with stiff springs and KYB ABX adjustable shocks almost on the highest setting....

thanks. Would anyone know where i could find those crappy weatherstips (the only rubber weatherstripping on the outside of both doors, it pops off real easy)

Mines been through years of ultraviolet exsposure..(sun) and there looking awfully bent out of shape about it.
