hey all I am new to the board and am in desperate need of help!!
I have a 93 YJ w/4.0 manual trans i was originally having a sputtering/surging problem, but now the heep won't start!!
I have done everything i can think of which includes new MAP sensor new CPS on trans and under distributor checked vacuum lines replace TPS swapped ignition coil checked all grounds has spark has fuel cranks but won't start
any help would be great!! Please HELP!!!! Jay

What is fuel pressure, fuel present does not mean suffecient.

What he said! Was it mine I'd spray some carb cleaner in it while attempting to start her... If she pops and tries to run I'd look at the fuel pressure. Big JIm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

just read the pressure on the rail it read 39 PSI this is driving me crazy!!!!

just started, but doesn't want to stay running popping and backfiring the iac replaced 2 months ago? gonna make sure were at TDC now still trying....

Check for fouled sparky's. Gas soaked. JMHO. New sparky's, wires, cap, rotor...etc..?

i think the distributor was off a tooth, will replace plugs etc in AM gonna take it for a test drive right now to see it runs and idles pretty good considering plugs are munged up a bit now!! i'll let you guys know!!! Be right back!!! thanks all!!!!!!! jay

Ok wooo hooo now tell us how the dist got a tooth off in the first place??? Did YOU do it or did it do it all by itself.. I sure hope YOU did it!
