That is really cool, except really expensive. You could do a SAS for a LOT less money. That definently looks a lot more rugged than the drop brack ifs lifts though.. basically just longer control arms and axles. wayyy overpriced... 1300 for some steel control arms?? 178 for shock mounts?? heh. Definently eliminates all the problems I have and have seen in the traditional 4" kits though.
Says the control arms give you 2".. I guess you can crank the bars a bunch with no bad side effects do to the high angle cv's?

How wooooode! No linkie. Fixed. You have to compare cost with Total Chaos, not just a hunk of steel welded together. There's a lot more to it than that.

its definetly a sweet kit..but im sure an sas will be stronger and have more performance to it...wouldn't be bad if it was around 1000 for the kit

I like it... I've always kind of preferred the pre-runner type look than the rock crawler.
I know it's a trophy truck... but what did Ivan Stewart run?

pretty sweet setup.
it would be worth the money over a drop bracket lift any day of the week. price isn't horrible compared to other options.
all in all it would be about the same money as a SAS. but it would definitly be different.

Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have their original 4" long travel kit on my 88 4Runner. I liked it alot when I lived in So Cal. It did great at speed in the desert. Great ride on and off the street. If you want to wheel, I would really consider a SAS instead. Probably not any cheaper but will give you way more travel and probably last longer.

compared to total chaos, that kit cant deliver what it advertises. still use the ball joint upper, torsion bars...i paid 1500 for my TC kit and it has far superior construction.

...i paid 1500 for my TC kit I'll bet you paid a LOT more than that by the time you were finished... I agree, the TC kit is superior though. Downey cut some corners but not cost.

i could have saved using the torsion setup...but then id have borken torsion sockets, frames, and a few broken torsion bolts, but at least it would have a uniball upper instead of BJ...i confess i did spend a few pennies over 1500, but if my wife asks i bought it for $100 on fleabay...
