i dont mind the 4-speed. but is that 300k with the L43 or the L45? they look like two completely different trannys to me. i think i read somewhere that the L43 was carried over from the 2-wheel drive trucks.

ah i see, deluxe eh. i guess thats why there is the option for a/c on my dash but no a/c to be found.

If I would only have know earlier, I just sold an old rn47 for cheap cheap, with all the gadgets... it just didn't run...I'll keep my eye out if you are seriously looking for a complete a/c system?!

thanks but i dont need a/c. ill just roll down the window. i still have a lot of work to do before i worry about comfort.

Although I never worked on it, my FSM describes only the L43 (4-speed) and the W50 (5-speed). IIRC, the 4-speed was only around for '79 to '80.

the tranny that i have now is from 81 and is a L45. i think there was an option for 5 speed which was the L50.
