I have read the tech article about retrofiting an e-locked rear into a non e-locked axle housing. I did not notice where the article said what vehicle type or year he was actually installing it in.

I want to put one in my 1995 V6 4Runner. Anyone know if this technical article pertains to my proposed installation?

Also a newb question. What is the undesirable characteristic of auto or other lockers on snow and ice? I read numerous comments about avoiding using them in these conditions. Aussie locker has this caution plastered all over there web page for their locker.
