My first answer was 4 days ago... By now I could have found an purchased a rubi.. TODAY I would have been four-wheeling in the rocks.. How far along are YOU after four days?
Hey BlackP We have all been where you are. Then the rubi came along and answered all our questions. Sure the IDEA of a v-8 is good to come up with.. But the answer is still a rubicon. The low end torque of the fuel injected 6 does a great many more things off raod than a carbed v-8 will. AND does em better too. THIS is a Jeep forum you are in not a hotrod forum. MAny of us have installed huge v-8's in our grocery getters. BUT them engines are not for offroading.
Yeah you can make a really radical rock climber with a 280 cam in a 383.. But you won't enjoy it much when it is on the trailer going back and forth.
