I read somewhere else that these wheels measure 8 inches wide but they are really 7 inches wide where the bead mounts, so they are really 7" wide wheels where it counts. The 285/75/16's that I want (Nitto Terra Grapplers) recommend a minium 7.5" wide wheel. So maybe I'll look for some real 16x8's.
