Need a Spot
I just purchased a 1990 Toy 4x4 truck w/ blown 22RE. The truck is in really Good cond for it's age. Custom canopy & Super straight body and clean interior. Even the paint is in good shape + I got it cheap!!
I have two problems...blown engine which I plan to replace, I was told by the original owner that 1st gear won't stay locked in...you have to hold it in place when shifting into 1st gear. It doesn't grind at all going into 1st. but won't stay in. So I am thinking I need to replace it. I found a low mile 92 V6 4-Runner 4x4 tranny for a good price. Will this tranny bolt up properly to my 22RE motor???

Any advice or info is greatly appreaciated!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Body Damage is Cool
it could just be the shifter bushing....and no a v6 tranny will not bolt up to a 22re...but do a search on shifter bushings
