Getting the Wheeling Fever
OK, I have searched every page of every forum I can find but still can't seem to find a suitable answer to lifting my sportage, maybe because I am in Australia and you can get nothing here I dunno. Over here we can get a 35mm lift easily but thats about it. I can get Ironman 70mm lifted springs but no-one in the world seems to make shocks longer then stock to suit these springs. So my question is what is everyone doing to get more then the run of the mill 30-35mm lift???

Edit - Another option was to fit the ironman 70mm lifted springs with stock shocks but I was worried about topping them out just want to know if anyone else has done something like that?

Thanks

Damo

you can use the ROCKSPORT Gear style upper strut mounts that dave makes!!! that will make better use of the taller springs.

OK I have talked to Ironman, Eibach and just about everyone who makes springs and they do not make the lifted springs anymore unless you only want 35mm or less so it looks like the RSG stuff is the only option if you can get it to Oz!

Talk to Ironman springs headquarters, Kristian Ristel, and ask him about Gary Campbell's 2.5" lifted springs (about 3 yrs ago, but he would have the details on record0 Get the "9 turn" ones for the front (not 8 turn or 10 turn).

2002 Sporty , Ironman 2.5" spring, 2" body, 15 x 7 ROH wheels, K&N, 15 x 10.5 Simex Centipedes, Powerchip 91.

the strut mount lowers the strut mounting position allowing the lift spring to not be limited by the travel of the strut as much.
