That's about it! Some folks lower the crank by loosening the caps or taking them off... I never do. It is real tight in there and not an easy job for a first timer. Just keep your wits about you and don't scratch the bearing surface. If there are a lot of miles on the engine I might replace the lower bearings while I was in there.. OR even the pump..
