I have searched a number of different ways, but can't come up with this one. Didn't we have a breakdown of what vehicles/years had what differentials? I have an 88 PUP and am thinking about an LSD for the rear (hmmm.. and front?), but want to know what I'm looking for. Anyone know where to find that post (if it even exists)? If not, maybe we can start one up now? Thanks for sharing the knowledge/experience!

Nice resource!! Thanks for putting the effort into accumulating all of that in one place, Rob! I only saw 2wd pups and "some pickups 95" for the front 8 bolt though. I try not to assume to much, but I think my PUP is just a longer version of an Amigo from the same year, but there is no listing for an 88 Amigo 4WD either. I am guessing that I have the Isuzu 10 bolt up front and the Isuzu 12 in the rear. Is there a way to visually (externally) determine what I have or use the VIN number to check? Thanks again to all who can assist.

There's no listing for 88 Amigos because the Amigo didn't come out until 89. 89-94 (for the States) 4wd would have had the 10 bolt front 12 bolt rear. After they came back in 98, I think it was 10 bolt front Dana 44 rear. 2wd 89-94 not sure on ...
88-95 Pickups, 4wd would be 10 bolt front 12 bolt rear. 2wds would have had the 10 bolt if the 2.3 engine. Those with the 2.6 or 3.1 would have had the 12 bolt rear.
Easiest way to tell the 10 bolt rear from the 12 bolt rear is the brakes. 10 bolt had drum 12 bolt had disc.

2wd 89-94 not sure on ... My old '93 2WD Amigo 2.3 had the 10-bolt rear. IIRC, 2WD w/ the 2.6 may be 12-bolt rear.

Ya, to the best of my knowledge it followed the same rhyme as the pickups did, but I wasn't totally sure so I didn't say anything. Richard <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Excellent... I'll go with my earlier guess of the Isuzu 10 up front and the Isuzu 12 in the back. Thanks, Gents.
