How can I get in touch with Marlin's shop????? #791270 02/21/07 01:46 AM

Marlin and I spoke in November and December about issues with my t-case. He said to try some things then get back to him. I have tried and really think he'll need to open it up to find out what's going on (ultra low case keeps popping out of gear).

Well, since the beginning of the year I have tried emails, calling the shop (I always get the "we're experiencing a high call volume, call back later <click!>"), I have faxed the shop, and emailed other members of the staff. NO ONE replies.

I think Marlin needs someone full time to staff phones, schedule work, and offer some technical advice. But that doesn't solve my rant. How can I get in touch with him? Ideas as to what's going on? I'm not close enough to Fresno to just stop in and say hi. I need to schedule something. Oh, and last night when I went to look at the Marlin on-line forum, the link wasn't working, either.

Thanks!

Best time I have found to call is early in the morning, like right at eight.

Web page is working for me, I am logged in right now.

I'll try, but the last times I've called right at 8 I still get the "we're busy..." message. If they have phone problems it should be checked. For a kick, I've thought of calling the shop's number at around 1am on a Sunday and still see if "we're experiencing a heavy call load...." !!!!

I just called them earlier today to dispute an order problem. Anyway, I called around 1:30 p.m. EST and got through to someone right away. Although, everytime I've called in the past I would get the recording. Good luck!

When I was down there a few weeks ago, there were two guys up front answering phones. Problem is they are also taking the incoming orders, so are pretty much on the phone all day.

I usually call them on my lunch hour, they are 1 hour behind me, so about 1-1:30pm. Usually get through np. Also CJ has been good with emails.
cj@marlincrawler.com if you don't already have it.
Good luck,

Well, I made progress <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" /> After I tried the forums again (though they seem down again today for renovation), I saw a thread similar to mine here ("calling Marlin"). After posting, Dave responded to the post and promised to call the next day. Well, the shop did call me yesterday. We talked about setting an appointment, and I was to get another call today. Nothing as of 5:30pm PST, so I guess not yet, but it is progress....
