I wish it was that simple. Where I'm located at, I can't even get an oil or fuel filter! No kidding, we have a pop of 250,000 and the auto parts stores have no idea what a Mitsu diesel engine is! I've only seen one other Mitsu diesel in the country.

Alright then.... don't know what I was thinking the last few times I looked at the block, but yeah.... I got the motor mounts on a few minutes ago. Going to the store for some bolts and probably going to get the diesel dropped in today.

I didnt realize a 2.6 4x4 pan would work on the deisel. I wound up building a whole new rear sump oil pan. I just cut the pick up in half and mounted it in the bottom of the pan and ran a hose between the oil pickup and the flange.

Not many people know about mitsu diesels around this area either. I found basic stuff ( filters exc ) at a local auto zone, had to order them though. I was able to find everything else I asked for ( pistons, injectors, turbo rebuild kits ) at the dealer. They even had it all in stock. So I would try that if you havent already.

try going to Car-Part.com and seeing what you can find through them.... I'm pretty sure that's how Powell found his parts way out in Mizzou

Okay, so it has been a while, but I just finished finals for the semester and I'm back to working on the truck for a couple of weeks. Update on the PS pump: It turns out that the shaft diameter on the Ranger's PS pump is smaller than that on the Mitsubishi pump. So, I had the hole in the Ranger's v-pulley bored out to where it will fit (interference fit) onto the Mitsubishi pump shaft. Hacked up the two brackets to come up with one that will work (Mitsubishi pump is a bit larger than Ranger). Here are the results so far, with just a bit of tweaking left to do as it is just slightly skewed still. ![[Linked Image]](http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb314/dbussey1/IMG_0406.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb314/dbussey1/IMG_0407.jpg) Other than that, have to wire up glow plugs, put engine in and see how the clutch feels, and change transmission mounts because mine are ridiculously worn out.

She's in! Got it bolted in before work yesterday. First two things I noticed: the engine bay is now pretty crowded, and the Ford accessories are a good bit above the hood line. ![[Linked Image]](http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb314/dbussey1/IMG_2779.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb314/dbussey1/IMG_2780.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb314/dbussey1/IMG_2782.jpg) Still got a good bit of plumbing and electrical work to do.... wire fuel pump, charging system, glow plugs, relocate PS reservoir as it is super close to the turbo now, and get creative with the hood. Hopefully get her started in the next week or so.
