What is the story on 'de-yellowing' the headlight lenses?
I would like to install superwhite bulbs but not if they will get lost in crummy lenses. Compared to my other vehicles the T100's lamps look like whale oil lanterns.

I was able to clean my lenses with a few applications of liquid Nu Finish. I installed PIAA bulbs and all was good - then I sold the T100 in favor of a Tundra.

I installed a Painless harness and some GE Nighthawk bulbs that have helped a lot without treating the lenses, although I have one of the Permatex restoration kits to use once I get the spare hour and inclination.
A couple others have made up harnesses with Daniel Stern parts and reported results like I got from the Painless wiring.
Unfortunately, the lenses won't support super high wattage bulbs (I got some PIAA 100/135s with the harness), and there aren't, as far as I could come up with, glass lenses available for the T.
edit - Hang on, H2Oman...what wattage were the PIAAs you used? All was good?

I replaced my lenses, and did daniel stern bulbs. WOW what a difference. Wished I tried permatex fix first. I am going to put a set of hella ff into the bumper when it warms up. Then it should be really rocking.

I used the Mother's Powerball with an electric drill (keeps the fingers from gitting all beat up and blistered using sandpaper) and some Meguiar's Plastic Polish. Just start out slowly and eventually speed up the drill. Before you know it...it looks and performs like new fer a fraction of the cost... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I dont know if they are really worth it, but I got a set of sylvania xtravision halogens that sync up pretty close with the daniel stern +30's and I like them alot.

Do those sylvania bulbs plug directly into the existing fixture with no modifications. Also, is the color white. I am not looking for the European blue tint.
Thanks, I plan on working on my lenses this weekend.

Yep, they plug right in and are white. I bought them at walmart for like 20 bucks.
