Check your TPS setup, and make sure that the air tube is on snug and not leaking, given you just had it off.
Carb cleaner that is safe for sensors is recommended over Brakleen btw. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the input, bought carb cleaner and resprayed. I just discovered a 1.5-inch crack on the rubber pipe that directly connects to the TB - used electrical tape to temporarily seal it. Reset EFI fuse and will test drive again in a bit. Gas mileage sucks, still rough idle. TPS connection is OK.

Replace cracked hose <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> Electrical tape won't seal it.

Compression test first and then leak down. I bet one of the cylinders ain't firing. Report back after the tests.

Thanks for the input, JMSdad. I see you're from the bay area also. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Reset EFI fuse and will test drive again in a bit. Gas mileage sucks, still rough idle. TPS connection is OK. This is your problem... With a cracked pipe, unmetered air can enter the system... This causes the lean code. The computer compensates. Then, the crack seals temporarily... This creates a sudden rich condition. The rich code is set. Get a new intake hose.

... replaced O2 sensor - bolts easily came out after 2 days of PB soaking. ... replaced cap, distributor, wires, some spark plugs <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> ... #1 plug frozen - it won't budge; #5 is just unreachable for me - ... I'll let my mechanic do it when doing a compression checked ... and leak down testing ... then off to the junk yard to find rubber hose, driver side wiper arm ... and some other stuff ... ... code is now 25

So, how'd the repairs go? Say, does anyone know if you can get long-term damage because of 02 problems? _________________ 2005 Toyota Tundra Accesorios - Tundra 4x2 06 Catalog by Toyota Motors
