There's probably a dealership in your area that you can talk to. Or you can go on the Internet. I'd pick the latter option, as dealerships tend to be pushy about things like selling you accessories and insurance.

should I be seeing 12v on both sides of the fuel injector connector with the key on? It seems to me that if on side is 12v and the other a pulsating ground that I should only be getting 12v to one side of the plug. I may be wrong.

It'll be an intermittent ground connection. Happens at a high frequency, and a digital voltmeter may not catch the fast changing signal. Also, would only show that with the engine running, the duration of the ground pulse would vary with the engine load (more load = more fuel = longer ground pulse duration).

Yes. The ground doesn't pulse unless you're turning over or running.

If you have a test light that's LED, it should be fast enough to catch the trigger of the injector. Put it across the injector plugs, turn it over, see if you indicate voltage.
