Was it possible to get a backhoe in there to dig the front out first. I dont think I would have just pulled it out that burried.

Sure, that may be the easiest/most practical solution. But, are you really gonna go find someone who will tow, drive and run their backhoe out there? You gonna pay for that, cuz it'll be expensive - labor fees, gas for backhoe, gas for tow rig to get the backhoe there etc. And most importantly, are you gonna leave your truck out there for people to rape for however long it takes you to find/get a backhoe out there?

There was no way to know that the axles would rip out, simply from winching out of some mud. The winch was the quickest and cheapest option that got the truck home asap. You gotta think realistically, not conveniently ya know?

I hear ya!

My brother has a lifted F-350 with Muds that pulls a 4wd Kubota backhoe tractor. I'm fortunate, IF I ever get that stuck I'll call him.

Those Boggers grab the mud just as well trying to pull you out as they did pulling you in. huh? A Bogger burried in mud is probably the best anchor ever.

You might want to clear some ice before you winch that thing out.

Man, I think we should STOP this thread. Between that guy's Toy being ripped apart, and that rig in the ice, I'm getting depressed.

x2!!! i've seen stuck before but not stuck enough to tear a front end to pieces. i always wondered if my ARB bumper would come flying off of the front of my rig when winching out of a stuck. got me really thinking now!
