I am in the process of looking at a 98 toyota t100. its a v6 auto and when you romp on the gas it makes an odd whistelin noise. my buddy tole me that that was normal, thought i would see if any body else had that problem.

Mine does it too, I think its the speedo cable as when its cold it whisltes like nuts till it gets warm. By now I ignore it and dont realize its there.

Need a Spot

My '95 t100 just started making two new noises this week . One sounds like it is in the instrument cluster and is likey the speedo cable. The 2nd noise seems to be coming from the rear driveline, it's a squeal that almost disappears when I let up on the gas. I am not too worried yet as both noises go away when the outside temp rises above freezing.

'95 T100 SR5, 5spd, TJM bumper, REP8000, Bilsteins, Alcoa wheels, Snugtop, Hella lights, Centerforce clutch, Air Lift auxiliary springs, K&N Filtercharger. ARB air locker
