If I remember correctly, Gen2 gas tanks are polymer, not metal(*). If you can get the skid off and can remove the dents from it, you might be able to get the tank to pop back out to normal.

(*) - at least a 2Gen amigo tank is polymer. I am assuming that the Rodeo is too.
