Need a Spot
Update: Stopped on the way home got the vent window in. The door glass bracket was bent and the window came off the track. Got it back on but the window will only go up to an inch from the top, will look into that more. The key switch turns ok, threw a battery in it and got it to turn over, but when you turn the key off the starter stays engaged. That made my heart jump! Grabbed a wrench and pulled off the battery cable of and it stopped. Touched the cable to the post and it stayed off. Tryed it again and the starter stuck on and the key wouldn't shut it off, pulled the cable and it quit turning over. If the starter solenoid stuck the starter would turn over when I touched the post with the cable. Im thinking ignition lock switch or ignition switch. Could smell gas but it didn't start, really didn't want it to start yet. The neighbor said he repaced the starter and its was only used for two months, then he had this starter sticking thing and he parked it. Thanks Gordie

Gordie Sounds like the switch may be holding the starter connection when it is turned to the RUN position don't it?
