Here's another very short side trip all you California boys are missing on your way to Moab

Kinda worthless to post pictures without stating a trail name...

Would that really matter?

It's actually four; Milt's Mile, The Bowl, The Shitter, and the Mattehorn.

Considering that I hit 21 Road on the way to Colorado, Hole in the Rock on the way to Moab, Lake Powell on the way to Moab, and Bend on the way to Portland, quite possibly yes.

See that's what I'm talking about, someone who isn't afraid to venture elsewhere.

Randii, all the trails listed, excluding Milt's Mile, on the latter post are located in Logandale, NV. It's exit 93 on I-15 just south of Mesquite. All those trails are within 10 miles of that exit. In fact they all start at the entrance to the Shitter Trail. Rock Bottom is one solid 4.0 and the exit will give you one massive pucker factor (dropping off a 6 or 7 foot ledge having to make an immediate left turn down yet another ledge all awhile being tilted 40 to 45 degree to your passenger side. The Shitter and Rock Bottom both have optional obstacles that have put plenty on their roofs (witnessed a couple). Milt's Mile is in Sand Hollow State Park which is just south of Hurricane, Utah. It woould rate a solid 4.0 as well with optional off the chart obstacles. That trail you have to be able to do well in sand dunes because that is what you will be exiting on. I had a heck of a time with that in the Rubi, they suck in the sand, far to much torque and not enough horsepower. If you want the waypoints let me know, I'm sure I can even arrange it so a few of my buds in those two areas can show you around. Later

This was a stop on my route to Moab last year:

On The Way to Zu Zoo IX

I was the ONLY one on the Dunes. There were a bunch of motorcycles and ATVs at the camp I stayed at but for more than 2 hours, it was nothing but me and the mighty Amigo.

Some years, it has taken my 4-5 days to get to Moab. I always enjoy the route there and back as much as the destination itself.

Is that near Kanab by chance?

Actually Kanab and Coral Pink Sand Dunes is about even northern wise. I was just there a couple of weeks ago running the trail on the east border of the dunes between there and Kanab, the Moquith Mountain Trail Loop. I actually recognized the mountains and not the dunes.
