so just a few little things to finish up .. Rear "template" removed , focus on the frame . 4 more on the " TO DO" list !! I got one more scrached off today on the original frame .. there is a felt between the frame and glass .. I suspect it's to silence any rattles or scratching on the rear shield . The old stuff was brittle , crusty , and old .. so I replaced it . a clean frame The new felt and installed ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0386.jpg) it's a real close up .. so dont mind the edges .. you'll never see them .. .

here we go .. almost my LAST post on this thread ... Weatherstrip is now installed .. ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0395.jpg) rubber mallet makes it easy , fits real nice , and should do the job . ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0396.jpg) also , rear shield came in .. not lexan , but Makrolon . http://www.makrolon.comit's tougher , more flexable , and just a better product .. so I was able to cut it out .. and start to fit . ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0394.jpg) attached the hinges .. ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0397.jpg) removed the OLD ***** ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0398.jpg) and put in NEW ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0399.jpg) top and bottom ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0401.jpg) .. and I'm now ... officially DONE !!! ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/Texas%20Trekker/HPIM0402.jpg) need to crate and ship . as far as I know .. the ONLY long box Trekker , in the world ! .

Awesome job Cory. That is seriously a labor of love. The owner got his money's worth I'm sure. Have you calculated total time spent on the labor? I cant wait to see a pic of the entire Trekker once its complete. Thanks much for sharing with all of us.

Thanks .. and yes , it was a "labor of love" project .. To do a 1 of a kind , never pays , cash money . I actually stopped counting after 30 days.. I have about 200 hrs into it . as I told Michael , the new owner , he should be pretty secure in the fact , that I wont be doing another LONG BOX Trekker anytime soon

How thick was the fiberglass on the trekker? I'm trying to gauge how thick I'd need to make a fiberglass shell for design weight purposes.

Ok, cool. I'd been planning 3/16 to 1/4" of vacuum infused hand laid up cloth. Maybe thicker areas where I think I need more strength like around latches, etc. The weight adds up. I need to get a tome on fiberglass construction so I can get a better handle on what to do.
