My whole fuel system is dry right now. The tank is new, the pump, the fuel lines, the filter and the injector rail are all bone dry. Anything I should do before trying to start it to get the fuel circulating and the air purged? -- Matt

I knew such a thing was possible, but didn't remember the details and already passed my daily quota for pages read in the FSM. I really like the idea of pressuring up the fuel system, prior to running the motor for the first time, to check it for leaks or other problems. While reading 4Crawler's write-up on the process I was glad to stumble across his article on installing a camp shower in your Toyota . Thank you. -- Matt

Seem to be having a problem as described on your site. just started this? But can't seem to locate the connecter as in the pic I have a 87 re truck pump doesn't come on until I start cranking the motor Shouldn't the pump cycle when you just turn the key on for a few seconds

Test jumper pins may be in the diagnostics box on the later engines (passenger side fender, B+ and FP pins) instead of a separate connector on the driver's side like the '85 has. And yes, pump normally won't start until you hit the starter, that is normal (unless you ahve the test jumper installed).
