Although your not loading the spring any more by cranking them, you change the geometry of the control arms.
Right, that MAY make it feel...er...different. But the spring rate is the same. I didn't notice any difference when I cranked mine. Did you change the rims with a different back space? I think a wider stance feels different. The main thing is you've got dirty great big 33's under there now. THAT will change the ride the most surely.

I want 33's now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Yup...that's how it started for me. First one thing. Then another. Then two or three more items. Then half a dozen. Then it develops into an obsession. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

Speaking of torsion bars... I've been meaning to ask this. But to make it simple, how can someone "loosen" the front suspension if they have the bars cranked? I know when you crank them it makes it stiffer. Does re-indexing them put it back at factory "softness" or is re-indexing something totally different?

so anyone have any info on this ^^^^

Re-indexing them will not affect ride quality. The only thing it will affect is how far screwed-in the adjusting bolt is, assuming you have the same ride height before and after re-indexing.

I believe re-indexing them would only address issues where they are getting worn (losing their stiffness). If the front end is being held at a certain height, whether they are set there from stock or set there after they've been re-indexed I would think the "springyness" might be about the same.

If you haven't done so already, try trimming down your upper bump stops. That might help in giving the front end some flex.
