New member here. Seached the forum and didn't find this answer. Aligning the front suspension after replacing the Pitman arm and it's not clear how to adjust camber on my GenII. Upper and lower spindle mounts have no adjustability in them that I can see.

Left has about 1.5 positive camber and the steering wants to pull left. Right camber is 0. Checked pressures and swapped tires to rule out any tire issues. Toe is set at 0.

You adjust it like you do old rear wheel drive cars. You move the whole control arm in or out by adding or removing shims where it connects to the frame.

I want more shims! I'm about ready to get longer bolts and throw some washers in where the shims were.

If you have one as a pattern they're really easy to make out of sheet or plate steel with a cutting wheel and a good round file...sweat helps too.

These pics from the 92-95 factory manual may help you ARob. Just loosen the upper A arm mounting bolts until the shims are loose. Add or remove them as required like the others said. It's a pain on the drivers side since the mounting bolts are under the battery box

Anyhow, I set mine to 0 camber and it seems fine. I just cut a couple of short peices of 1" box section that were exactly the same length, duct taped them to my spirit level so they sat of the outside edge of the rim and set chamber to level It worked!!!

Ah ha! I see it now. Thanks very much. Camber seems to vary with the weather as I just checked it again and its different. Or it could be that the driveway is slightly graded where I parked it last night...

Yeah, you must must have the truck level. If your driveway has a little slope to it make some wooden shims for the low side of the truck to 'stand' on. Make sure you drive on to the shims though. Don't jack the truck up and slide wood under the wheel. That'll 'unsettle' the suspension and screw up your chamber measurements.

Good luck
