to pull the axle do i have to mess around with the rear diff?? or how does it come out?

Just undo the brake lines and parking brake, then the 4 bolts(red arrow)on the axle and pull it out of the diff.

No need to drain oil, none will come out if you are on fairly level ground. Disconnect and plug the brake hardline (you'll need to bleed the brakes afterwards) and pull the pin on the e-brake cable to disconnect it from the e-brake lever.

lspv?
It is a valve that is on the right side of the frame. It is above the rear-end. There is supposed to be a rod connecting it to the rear-end. LSPV stands for Load Sensing Proportioning Valve; it changes the bias on the braking system depending on the load in the back.

The correct bleeding procedure is;

DriverÆs side rear

Passenger side rear

Passenger side front

DriverÆs side front

LSPV- Load Sensing Proportioning Valve

Suggestion for you, get a repair manual

Question to you, what year truck/runner do you have?
