Am I missing something here? I convert these figures to about 14.5-18.5 mpg. ? Yes, you are missisng something. 8Km/L = 18.8 MPG, 11Km/L = 25.8 MPG. It supposed to be a little better, probably need some tune up. Anybody knows some service in Vancouver, that peforms tune up for diesels?

you can get 750 km on 80 liters gas with a gas truck. I dont think so!!! It is (Imp. MPG 26.4825)(US MPG 22.05) You might get close to these numbers with a newer truck, but you have to remember that these are 15 years old at least and are heavy 4X4 SUV's.

I'm getting between 13-14L/100Km on 38" tires, foot so far down you can see the soles of my shoes through the grille. And she's got 270K KM's on the clock. Temps from -12?C and up, no warmup fancy pansy just start and go.
Last offroad trip was over 400km's on the tank including the struggle of towing a Suzuki Vitara up a Glacier wich is very very steep with 3psi in the tires. I love my mitsu <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

People look at what the stikers say at the dealership for MPG and think that the vehicle should get that # but most of the time it is far worse than the stiker #. There is nothing wrong with 25MPG for an SUV. Most gas SUV's only get about 15MPG.

She took 60L today, 551kms on the trip meter, but that is with a lot of idling and in-town driving. I have some long weekends coming up and might do a highway trip then.

I get an average of 8.2km/l or ~20mpg. Lowest has been like 7km/l, highest 9.6km/l. I do mostly city driving with a lot of stop and go. Temp here is 35-40?C.

after reading your guy's results I kept better track of my mileage. the last tank of all in town driving I got 620km on 83L of fuel. its weird how with my cranked up injection pump I am getting better mileage, I do have 2.5" exhaust with only a resonator though. I also use a diesel additive with every tank. but it pays for itself, one bottle lasts me 4 fill ups and the bottle is only $8.00

I'm pushing 700K at fill up of 80L(5 spd). Glad to hear there is a low level light. I haven't seen it yet. Most of my driving is stop and go with the A/C on. Temps here (QLD, OZ) close to 30.
