Yes, those larger bushings should fit inside of the "eye" of the shock...then the bolt should go through that bushing. Lube wont hurt polyurethane...that's one of it's properties. Heck, my prothane bushings CAME with lube. And YES, the lube was used ONLY for the bushings.
