Need a Spot
I have just purchased a 1985 Toyota and am considering the "cross over steering" conversion. I am aware that I will need the steering kit from all pro as well as the steering box from an IFS truck. What else do I need to obtain or modify? Thanks for any help on this matter.

If the kit does not come with the frame plates, you will need them. Not really sure about if the hoses you have will work or not.

Definately get or make some plates for the frame, plus sleeves for the bolt holes. The solid axle p/s hoses will fit with the IFS box, may have to work with them a little to get them to fit. Also, likely need to extend the steering shaft depending on where the box is mounted:

Yeah, you'll have some big interference problems w/o some lift.

My truck now doesn't have power steering so I will need to get the pump as well. The kit I was looking at does have the plates and parts to mount the box. Any kits you would reccomend.
