I hope you like long hours and low pay!

I used to work at a Toy dealership

It was a lot of fun to see and drive some nice Toyotas, but that was it.

I'm in my last semester of the T-ten program and I am now working as a Service Writer. It is a tough career, but our techs make decent money. Good luck with school!

I was one, but our local dealer gave Toyota a bad name. Constant firings, promises of raises that aren't fulfilled, and owner's son syndrome. I still like Toyota Motor Corp. though. They didn't have anything to do about the conditions. Any particular dealer isn't an indication of any brand. Good luck, you probably have a better dealer.

America's first fourwheel drive was built in Mankato, MN by Ernest Rosenburger in 1908 who founded Four-Traction Auto Co. on Hickory Street. The company though successful closed in 1913.

Yea, that's sort of the way it was at the dealership I worked at. The service manager was a moron. Nobody liked him. He had no idea what was going on in the shop. Too many broken promises.

And to top it all off, 90% of the guys in the shop were potheads, and got high on the job quite often. A few of them wrecked cars because of it.

Congrats.Keep in mind not all Toyota Dealerships are the same.I am a Parts Mgr for Lexus and have been for 6 years after 9 years with Toyota.I make a good living that pays for my Wife and I to raise 3 kids in a middle income house with her staying home.We have techs making GOOD money with 5 days in a row off every 3 weeks plus vacation and sick days.Get your experience and move up the ladder and you can do fine.

And don't EVER listen to ANYONE tell you you can't!
Also, I read it was Confucius who said "Love your job, and you never work a day in your life."
Good luck to you now. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
