OP
Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
i'm tring to install a hayden electriic fan on my 93 p/u. i can't seem to figure out how to hook up the automatic control. i hook the red (power) wire to bat. the black (ground) to ground, the orange(To motor) to the fan,the yellow (ign switch controlled power) to the cig fuse, the green (a/c override) to the cluth relay. i spliced in a overide switch ( one side to the bat and one the fused wire out of the contorler) to the orange wire before the fuse that came with the controler. i checked the overide switch and it works. but i'm shorting to ground some where. the fuse for the cig that i hooked the yellow wire to blew and the hood latch spring was smoking. any help would be appreciated. the fan is ground is hooked up too
