I carry my S&W 37-2 (.38spl +P) just about every day. In the summer I'll pocket carry in my cargo shorts with a Desantis Nemesis holster. With jeans or pants with non-cargo-sized pockets, I use a cheap Uncle Mike's IWB. The thing disappears completely.

The hammer is factory bobbed, as opposed to the entirely shrouded 642/442. But there's no IL on mine. I have repeatedly dry-fired it inside a jacket pocket and haven't had the hammer snag on anything, although that wouldn't be the preferred way for me to shoot it if I had the time to draw out of the pocket.

I keep it stoked with either the 135gr +P Gold Dots (short barrel load) or the "FBI load" of 158gr +P LSWCHP from RemFedChester. Within the FBI load, some say the Remington version has softer lead and expands better. I don't feel undergunned with 5 shots of either of the above, and I always carry at least one reload on a speed strip or speedloader.

I have no experience with Taurus, but lots of people like their 85(?) which seems pretty equivalent to the S&W airweights. Whichever small frame wheelgun you get, the DA pull and the short barrel means that you will need some practice to develop your marksmanship with it. So get to work!
