I keep a jug of acetone in the shop.. And I drive my pickup everyday! It is such a silly thing to even attempt to test that I'm hesitant to even put my name to a test!
As for anyone KNOWING how to get metter milage and NOT coming forward with the process...what a stupid thought!
THERE ARE NO SECRETS!! PERIOD! Anyone that thinks there is had better put their thinking cap on straight.

i added it today and i have noticed that the throttle response is a tiny bit faster, its not like its totally noticeable but you can tell a tad bit

It's all in your head.

How do you think snake oil salesmen sell their mouse milk?
They lead you to think it will work way before you even try it.

Like Jim, others said....no secrets out there other than the BS of gas prices and why our politicians keep letting illegals cross the border.

It's time to start shooting.

The latest shows that 1 in FIVE Americans is considered ILLITERATE. Think that's a problem? This country is going down the drain, and no one is doing anything about it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that in addition to the MPG increase, my friends 98 Escort will actually accelerate up this certain hill in overdrive that it used to downshift to 3rd on before acetone. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

80Cj, you keep talkin about how your friend got such great results with this acetone, well let me ask you, if you know he's getting such great results and you obviously trust them, then why arent you using acetone? no offense, but it sounds like you might be one of them 1 in 5 illiterate people of america, and dont tell me that you are using it because if you were you would boast your results, unless of course you have no results to boast because the junk dont work.

Actually, I'm just having a little fun with you guys. Some of you are so darned serious, I thought I'd try and add a little humor to the forum. Truthfully, though , my friend Stan has been using acetone in his 98 Ford Escort and claims to have seen a noticeable difference in power and MPG. He claims about 2-3 more MPG. He does things in a rather organized and scientific manner so I am inclined to believe his claims. I tried it in my 2001 S10 with 4.3 and there was no noticeable difference. Apparently acetone does work in some cars.
