I think I paid $180, but that was from a Jeep owner that was getting rid of the parts. If I had paid retail prices the kit and lenses probably would be over $300. The kit is a no-name Chinese brand and from what I understand the Japanese built kits are better. You pay extra for quality, but maybe I'll get lucky and these will last the life of the truck.

I have the basic Xenon kit, the Bi-Xenon kits are what you need for both the low/high beams. Since Xenon bulbs don't change their brightness with changes in wattage like Halogen lights, the Bi-Xenon bulbs use a movable reflector that focuses the lights for low beams and spreads the light out for high beams. So it's another thing that adds cost and complexity to the kit.

I believe my bulbs have a color temp of 6000K, it the standard white/blue color you see most often. It's actually the color temp that provides the most light. Lower than that and the light becomes more yellow, higher and they go more purple. The further from 6000K you go the lower the light output.
