Sorry to hijack this thread a little bit, but I have been following it quite closely.
I want to purchase the cam that you bought, but cannot get my stock engine to idle correctly when placed in gear (also an automatic 22RE). The engine is stock, but the exhaust has a header and 2.25" exhaust with high flow muffler and no cat.
The engine purrs like a kitten when sitting there in park (800 rpm), but as soon as I put it into gear, she starts to shake and idle rough. I have even had it stall when stopping at lights.
I hope somebody figures out why the idle fluctuates on an auto when put into gear, cause I really want to know.
My Runner is not my daily driver, so I haven't been pushed as hard to solve the problem on my own, that, and I just have no free time <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.
