I'm turning into a real well you know what at work, I'm going crazy waiting. I need to get away real bad, we have had projects on top projects. This Friday I'm cutting over to VoIP at the office, Verizon screwed us once already on cutting over.

Anyway back to Pismo, are there any plans for a potluck dinner? I'm still trying to figure out what foods I'm going to bring.

Also I assume that base camp will be near the beach and not to far in the sand, cause my 2wd Dodge Diesel dually wont make it.

My plan is to drive up Friday, taking the day off. So looking for anyone that wants to meet up if your coming thru the desert.

9 Days and counting!!

How is everyone coming along?

-Ashby

My mind is ready but not much else but I'm getting there.
- Tonight: Install gen II springs/crank torsion bars , try to finish CO2 tank mount if possible.
- Sunday: AT Flush, Inventory/Clean Camping Gear, Ensure working ok, laundry, finish C02 tank mount
- Monday: Drop C02 tank off for refill, buy any needed camping gear/tools.
- Tuesday: Recharge all batteries, pick up C02 tank, doublecheck inventory
- Wednesday: Buy missing items & pack everything up and prepare to load into the Monty Thursday night, confirm all attendee's.
- Thursday: Pack monty Thursday night & Friday morning.
- Friday: Buy & pack Food items.

That's the plan anyway.

Rory,

Please go ahead and use that Orange Strobe Light. Is it one of those highway ones or something different?

Also, you may want to park your dually outside the gate and drive the monty in and/or drive the dually in w/out the monty on the trailer. Will make it much easier I think. If you want, wait for the 1st person to show and have them give you a hand driving both vehicles in.

I won't be arriving 'til around midnight or later... I hate setting up my camp/sleeping area that late but oh well. Knowing my luck, I'll have the only rock on that beach under my back!

What time is everyone else arriving?

When is Joanna leaving? Rory's also driving there Friday (day) so you two ought to figure out timelines between yourselves.

Russell, Carlos, and anyone else leaving from the Bay Area... if my friend from the City comes, I'll be driving up there and picking her up and leaving the city around 5:00/6:00. Hopefully this will mean I can use the Commuter lane (best case scenario) and get through the traffic quicker. If she doesn't go, then I'll be leaving after 7:00pm to miss the bulk of traffic. Hopefully nobody's going to LA on 101 that weekend.

IF we can all hook up and caravan south that would be great.

Things got a bit complicated for me, I was planning on leaving Fri early afternoon but now my boss wants to meet with me Fri before she leaves the country again worse case scenerio I'll leave late Fri or very early Sat morning and be at camp site around 9-10 am.
The other problem is that I might have to comback sat night as I may have an early soccer game on Sunday... won't findout til this Sunday for sure though! hopefully is late in the afternoon or perhaps NO game at all as it's "cinco the Mayo" weekend

I'm lookin' at a Friday evening departure/arrival, not sure what I'll be driving though. If I can get the van in decent shape I'll take that otherwise it'll be the Honda.

He he he, sorry! Haven't had a chance to check The Wire much this week. Right now I'm off to Hollister Hills SVRA for the Mud N Yer Eye Frolic with 200+ other vehicles. Wish me luck! When I get back Sunday night I'll re-read the thread who's driving from where and whether we can caravan. My planned ETA is noon on Friday.

Here's my setup:
