Alright, as of now all my pre-trip wrenching is finally done! The tally was rebuilt front end, rad flush, new fan clutch, tranny filter change/flush, alignment, front/rear diff oil change and 33" tires.

Long road, but I feel MUCH more comfortable driving it out of town now. Will be wheeling 2 more times after this trip and before I ship out to Japan, so nothing is wasted. Plus, I know the truck will be solid when I get back.

Also installed IPOD controlling Premier stereo and Cobra CB. Have 5.25" Boston speakers to install post-trip.

Will pack stuff into the truck tomorrow before Son finishes school, meet up with Justice in the afternoon and be on our way!

Okay here is my rig update. Yes Im posting at just after 1 am.

I've been wrenching on my truck since 8pm. So far I have:

-New front shocks installed (Rancho RS9000XL)
-New rear coils (OME 919) w/ 2in spacer. (should yeild about a 4.5in lift)
-New left rear shock (Rancho RS9000XL)
-New rear lateral bar
-New brake pads front and rear
-New fuel filter
-Fresh oil change

Still left to do tonight:

-Right Rear shock
-Crank T-bars (will have to wait till morning to use the impact wrench)
-Flush radiator
-Install my mudders
-Mount spare on the rear door
-Install my CB antenna
-Mount roof rack lights (Picked up some sweet KC long range 130w lights)
-Mount some rear fog lights
-Go and get the alignment done

After all that I still need to pack, prepare vehicle, and do some last min. shopping!

Can't wait!!

Well gang I'm packed, showered, feed and ready to go. The wind is blowing hard here in Phelan. My planed route is Hwy 18 west to 14 south to the 5 north, then catch the 126 to 101 bout a 3 hour drive.

I know they're not all "on topic" but the kid had the camera. I really wish I had taken more, but was really busy driving. If anyone has any pics of us and my truck, I'd like copies as I have family who want to see them.
