My friend Andrew drove down from San Jose just for Saturday.

Started off well...

Oh yeah, wooooo-hoooo...

But then he tried to help out a non-4x4Wire dude in a steep ditch by connecting two straps with a D-ring. It was Andrew's nice recovery strap in combination with the dude's tow strap. Well the tow strap broke and sent the D-ring shooting towards the back of Andrew's truck cab, broke through the glass, slid across the back of his head rest, and then proceeded to hit the back of his head/neck leaving a huge welt as well as some pain.

Broken bits of glass covered his entire truck interior, from back seat to front dash. Lucky the situation wasn't worse! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Lesson -- Watch those cheap/old tow straps !!!
