Need a Spot

Been reading some post on here about this engine and it was posted that it is upgradable to a 3.4 v6, how tuff is it and is it worth it? My 91 is using some oil and the oil pressue has been dropping so I have added a heavier weight oil to compensate. I love the truck but have been thinking about getting it rebuilt or buying a rebuilt motor online for around 1800; what are your thoughts?
