Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well.. after all my hard work.. I just decided to purchase a remanufactured engine. Found a local place that will sell me an engine for $1199 with 3yr warranty..

My main seals are out and other issues compression etc... I think it's a good deal. Local shop will rebuild my engine valve job, bore block.. for $1500. only 1yr warranty..

Think i'm making a good decision.. Your thoughts?

RC a good deal depends largely on who you are. Be very particular about the heads.. Do you get new rockers and balls? Do you get new guides? Do you get new pushrods?
How about the valves themselves?
The block is the least of my worries in a rebuild. Most machine shops can bore and install the needed parts quite easily.
I ALWAYS have the machine work done to the block and use the machine shop to order the parts I LIKE for the block.
Then I get the head work done and install new rockers and balls and pushrods myself.
Don't overlook the top end, that is the week link in a rebuild.
