I think you find, after readin garound here awhile, that the V6 doesn o treally provide much more power than the 4cyl. Besides, if yo uwant bigger tires (as we all do!), a more powerful engine dosn't really buy you much anyway. What makes ore of a difference is regearing the axles so that the RPMs are better matched for those bigger meats. This is in fact a better investment than a cam (athough much more pricy).

Not exactly, once again have two of the same trucks one w/3.0, and the other 22re. My '90 3.0 will run circles around my '91 22re, granted I have a mod'd 3.0 and a strock 22re, but the '90 3.0 weighs 1400lbs less than the '91.

You can build a reliable 22re to get power close to the 3.0 stock power #'s. However as mentioned regearing for the tires you are running is the best bet. You will never see the comlete benefits of your engine upgrades w/o matching the gears to the tires.

Don't kick yourself for not getting the 3.0, they average about 3-5 miles less per gallon than the 22r's do.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.
