Advance Adapters has written a manual on swapping non-Toyota engines into Toyota trucks that they sell for $10. I believe they cover the 4.3 extensively. They sell transmission and bellhousing adapters. Same with Downey Off Road Mfg.. Last time I looked into it it cost about $4000 to do the swap. That included the cost of an engine, custom radiator, b/h adapter, exhaust, motor mounts, VSS sensor and sensor adapter, ect. Of course if you are a good scrounger and fabricator you can cut that price down a lot. I'm holding out till I can afford a Toyota 3.4 and a nice first generation 4runner to put it in.--Matt


Point of information on that manual...

It's not worth the paper it's printed on. Just some reprints of old rag articles and advertisements. Nothing more. I was highly disappointed when I received mine.

I had about $4300 into my 4.3 swap... Wasn't happy with it.
